Teeth get duller over time. Tea, coffee, red wine, smoking, curry - even normal ageing - all leave their mark on enamel. The good news is that professional whitening can lift years of staining safely and predictably, often in just a couple of weeks. The not-so-good news is that high-street whitening kits, charcoal toothpastes and TikTok hacks rarely work - and some can do real damage.
As an Enlighten Centre of Excellence, we offer two of the most effective whitening systems available in the UK, tailored to fit your teeth, your lifestyle and your budget.

There's a reason your dentist whitening costs more than a £20 kit from Boots.

We offer two market-leading systems with slightly different strengths. We'll recommend the right one for you based on your teeth, your goals and your timeline.
Enlighten is the only whitening system in the world that guarantees a final shade of B1 - the lightest natural tooth shade. As an Enlighten Centre of Excellence (we do enough cases to hold that accreditation), we offer this premium system to patients wanting the brightest, most reliable result. It combines two weeks of home whitening with custom trays and a final in-practice power session.
Boutique is a flexible, comfortable take-home whitening system available in either daytime or overnight formulas. It's a great option for patients who want noticeable results without the longer Enlighten protocol, or who want a top-up of previous whitening.
Here's how a typical whitening course unfolds with us.

We'll check your teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening, photograph your starting shade, and answer any questions.

A quick 3D scan of your teeth is used to create your bespoke whitening trays, made from a thin, comfortable material that fits snugly.

We'll talk you through exactly how to use your trays at home, how much gel to use, and how to manage any sensitivity.

Worn at home for either 14 days (Enlighten) or up to 2 weeks (Boutique), depending on the system.

A 40-minute in-practice session to finish your result.

We photograph the result, compare to your starting shade, and discuss how to keep your teeth bright.
Whitening looks similar on paper everywhere. The difference is in the detail - the system, the fit of your trays, and the aftercare.

Most patients see significant improvement, but it's worth knowing what whitening can and can't do.
We'll always be honest about what to expect at your assessment - including if we think you'd be better served by composite bonding or veneers.

Some patients notice mild sensitivity during whitening - usually short-lived and easily managed with a sensitive toothpaste or by adjusting the protocol. Our prescription gels include desensitising agents, and we'll always check in during treatment to make sure you're comfortable. If you have existing sensitivity, we'll discuss this before starting.

Whitening lasts longer with a few sensible habits.
Whitening is one of the most cost-effective cosmetic treatments available. Our pricing reflects the quality of the system and the time spent on assessment, custom trays and aftercare - not just the gel itself.

We see whitening patients from Wigston, Oadby, Knighton, Stoneygate, Great Glen, Kibworth, Market Harborough, Hinckley - and patients travelling specifically for Enlighten treatment as a Centre of Excellence. Free parking is right outside the practice.

Yes, when carried out by a qualified dental professional with properly prescribed products and custom trays. Whitening has been safely used for decades. Over-the-counter products and salon whitening (illegal for non-dentists in the UK) carry far greater risks.
With Enlighten, the target is B1 - the lightest natural tooth shade. Most patients lift by several shades. Boutique results are also strong but slightly less predictable on extreme cases. We'll give you a realistic projection at your assessment.
With good aftercare and occasional top-up sessions (usually once every few months), whitening results can last for years. Heavy staining habits (lots of red wine, smoking, dark teas) will shorten this - but you can top up easily at home using your existing trays.
Whitening only works on natural teeth - it won't change the colour of existing crowns, veneers, bonding or fillings. If you have these on your front teeth, you may need to upgrade them to match your new shade. We'll talk this through at your assessment.
Almost always before. Existing fillings, crowns and bonding can't be whitened later, so it makes sense to lighten your natural teeth first and then match any new dental work to that shade.
No - we'd recommend waiting until afterwards. While there's no strong evidence of harm, whitening is considered elective and we always err on the side of caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
No. Properly applied professional whitening doesn't damage or weaken enamel - this is a common misconception, often spread by over-the-counter products that contain abrasives or acids. Prescription whitening gel works by gently dissolving stain molecules without altering the structure of your tooth.
