A full set of teeth. A single treatment day.

For patients who've struggled with multiple missing teeth, failing dentures or terminal teeth that need to come out - All-on-4 is one of the most transformative treatments in modern dentistry. It replaces a full arch of teeth (upper, lower or both) with a fixed bridge supported by just four carefully positioned implants. You walk in with the problem, you leave with a smile that's fixed in place - all in a single treatment day.

It's not just a dental treatment. For the patients who come to us for it, it's often life-changing - and that's not marketing copy. It's what we hear from them, repeatedly, in the weeks and months afterwards.

I would like to thank Anubha and Aman at Natural Smiles Leicester. I have just finished my Invisalign treatment. I am happy with my treatment, the practice staff are friendly and bubbly. I felt at ease in their care, they delivered in helping me achieve the smile I have always wanted.

Tony S.

After a poor experience with an NHS practice, I decided to give Natural Smiles Leicester a call, after a referral from a friend. The entire staff are fantastic and although I am nervous of the dentist, I found everyone welcoming and professional, from the time I walked in, and throughout my treatment. The office is always clean and welcoming and I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Bal and her team.

Manish P.

Well it's always clean and spotless, the staff are very polite and welcoming. Dr Waghela is honest and straightforward to the point if anything needs doing. Highly recommend using Natural Smiles.

Christine C.

As a very nervous patient I was immediately put at ease and made to feel comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Reasons why patients choose All-on-4 over dentures

Conventional dentures replace missing teeth, but they don't replace what missing teeth take away. All-on-4 does.

Fixed in place - never comes out, never moves

Eat anything - from apples to steak, no restrictions

Preserve your bone - implants stimulate bone the way natural teeth do, preventing the facial collapse that dentures accelerate

Speak confidently - no slipping, no whistling, no "clicking"

Care like natural teeth - brush and floss as normal, with regular hygiene visits

A permanent solution - designed to last for decades with good care

Your treatment day, hour by hour

The technology and planning behind All-on-4 means we can fit a full set of fixed teeth in a single appointment. Here's how the day typically unfolds.

Morning - removal and implant placement

Any remaining teeth that need to come out are removed gently under local anaesthetic (with IV sedation available for patients who'd prefer to be deeply relaxed). The four implants are then placed using a digitally planned guide created from your CBCT scan - meaning they go in exactly where Dr Waghela planned them on the computer, with millimetre precision.

Midday - rest and preparation

A short break while your fixed temporary bridge is prepared. You'll be comfortable, fed, and looked after by our treatment coordinator.

Afternoon - fitting your new teeth

Your fixed temporary bridge is fitted onto the implants. By the time you leave, you have a full set of teeth in place. You'll go home with detailed aftercare instructions and our contact number for anything you need.

3-6 months later - your final bridge

Once the implants have fully integrated with your bone, we replace the temporary bridge with your final, high-strength permanent restoration - designed for years of beautiful, reliable function.

Why our All-on-4 results speak for themselves

All-on-4 is one of the most technically demanding treatments in dentistry. The difference between a brilliant outcome and a disappointing one comes down to planning, execution and aftercare - which is exactly where experience matters most.

Why choose four implants instead of more?

It's a fair question - why not place an implant for every tooth? The simple answer is that you don't need to. Modern implant techniques mean four well-positioned implants can comfortably and securely support a full bridge of 10-14 teeth. Adding more implants doesn't significantly improve function for most patients - but it does dramatically increase the cost, treatment time and complexity. All-on-4 hits the sweet spot.

In some cases, we may recommend All-on-6 (six implants per arch) - particularly for upper jaws with softer bone or for patients who want extra reassurance. We'll discuss the right approach for your specific case at consultation.

What about bone grafting?

One of the biggest advantages of All-on-4 is that it usually avoids the need for major bone grafting. The angled back implants are designed to take advantage of denser bone areas that traditional vertical implants couldn't reach. For many patients who've been told elsewhere they need extensive grafting, All-on-4 makes the difference between proceeding with treatment and giving up on fixed teeth.

In some cases, small amounts of localised bone regeneration may still be needed - but typically nothing close to the major procedures sometimes recommended with conventional implant approaches.

Caring for your All-on-4 teeth

Looking after your new teeth is straightforward, but it's not optional - good hygiene is what gives implants their long lifespan.

Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush

Use interdental brushes or a water flosser around the implants and underneath the bridge

See your hygienist every 3-6 months as advised

Avoid biting hard objects like ice or pen lids

Don't smoke - it's the single biggest threat to implant longevity

Come in for regular check-ups so we can monitor everything is healthy

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about orthodontic treatment? Here are some of the most common things our patients ask us.

How long do All-on-4 implants last?

With good care, the implants themselves are designed to last decades - many patients keep theirs for life. The bridge attached to the implants may need replacement or refurbishment after 10-15 years depending on materials and how heavily it's used. Regular maintenance appointments are key to longevity.

Is the treatment uncomfortable?

Treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, with IV sedation available for patients who'd prefer it. Most patients describe the procedure as far easier than expected - and the relief of finally having fixed teeth far outweighs the short recovery. Some mild discomfort and swelling in the first few days is normal and easily managed with painkillers.

Will I be without teeth at any point?

No. You leave the practice on treatment day with a full, fixed set of temporary teeth that look and function beautifully. There's no period of being without teeth at any stage.

What if I have no bone left?

All-on-4 is specifically designed for patients with reduced bone, and is often the right treatment for people who've been told elsewhere they aren't candidates for implants. Even in challenging cases, our in-house CBCT and Dr Waghela's experience mean we can usually find a solution. Some cases may need localised bone regeneration - we'll know after your full assessment.

Can I have All-on-4 if I currently wear dentures?

Absolutely - it's one of the most common reasons patients come to us. The transformation from removable dentures to fixed, comfortable teeth is one of the most rewarding things we do.

Can I drive home after treatment day?

If you've had treatment under local anaesthetic only, yes. If you've chosen IV sedation, you'll need a companion to bring you and take you home - and you shouldn't drive for 24 hours. We'll go through all the practicalities at your planning appointment.

Do you offer finance for All-on-4?

Yes - through V12. Options include 0% interest over 12 months with no deposit, and longer-term plans up to five years at 9.9% APR. For complex cases, we can also stage treatment and payments where clinically appropriate. We'll work through the numbers with you so you know exactly what's possible.

How long is recovery?

Most patients are back to normal life within a few days. You'll eat softer foods for the first couple of weeks while everything settles, and avoid heavy chewing on your new teeth until the implants have fully integrated. Most people resume work within 2-3 days.
