How clear aligner treatment works
From your first appointment to your final result, treatment follows the same broad pattern - though the specifics vary by case.
1. Free consultation
A relaxed conversation with our treatment coordinator about what you'd like to change, whether aligners are right for you, and the likely timeline and cost.
2. Full clinical assessment
3D iTero scanning, photography, X-rays and a thorough examination.
3. Digital treatment preview
Modern aligner planning lets us show you a video preview of how your teeth will move over the course of treatment - including your final result - before any aligners are made.
4. Wearing your aligners
You'll receive a series of custom aligners, changing each set every 1-2 weeks. Worn 20-22 hours a day, removed for eating, drinking and cleaning.
5. Check-ins and refinements
Appointments every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress, plus remote video check-ins where appropriate.
6. Retention - protecting your result
Retainers keep your new smile in place long-term. We'll go through your options at the end of treatment.
